Susan L. Alt, MD
Dr. Susan Alt has been practicing medicine since 1999. She grew up outside of Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1991. After exploring options in the environmental sciences, she attended University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine, where she graduated with honors in 1999, received The American Medical Women’s Associate Award for Scholastic Achievement and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national honor society for medicine. Dr. Alt completed her Internal Medicine residency at The University of California, San Francisco in 2002.
Dr. Alt returned to Chicago and University of Chicago after her residency, practicing and teaching medicine as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. She moved to Northwestern Medicine in 2005, focusing on outpatient primary care as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine, where she managed a full and successful practice. Her clinical interests include preventative and lifestyle medicine and disease management. She earned the Excellence in Teaching award in 2019. Dr. Alt is excited to move to NM Executive Health where she hopes to practice medicine with a more whole person approach to patient care and continue in her teaching roles.
