Joan C. Mullan, MD, FACP
Dr. Mullan has been practicing internal medicine since 1994. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees at Northwestern University. She received her Medical Doctorate degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha, the Medical Honor Society. She completed her internal medicine residency and then served as a Chief Medical resident at Northwestern University McGaw Medical Center. Dr. Mullan is board certified in internal medicine, by the American Board of Internal Medicine and was elected to be a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. She has enjoyed practicing general internal medicine at Northwestern, since 1994, both in private practice and as part of the Northwestern Medical Group. She has been awarded the American College of Physician’s Illinois Chapter Laureate Award in 2011 and the Feinberg Best Teacher Award at the Feinberg School of Medicine in 2015. She joined Northwestern Medicine Executive Health in 2017. Her special interests include preventive medicine, including strategies to improve nutrition, exercise, stress management and to encourage a positive healthy lifestyle.
