Jennifer K. Bussell, MD, FACPDr. Jennifer Bussell earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and attended medical school at the University of Illinois Chicago. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center where she earned Intern of the Year and Senior Resident of the Year. She was also Chief Resident at MacNeal Hospital with teaching appointments at both Loyola and University of Chicago. Dr. Bussell is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. She was the Associate Program Director of the Transitional Year and Internal Medicine Residency Program at MacNeal Hospital where she was awarded the Outstanding Continuing Medical Education Faculty Award. Dr. Bussell joined Northwestern Medicine in 2012 and is a Clinical Instructor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Bussell is published and has spoken nationally as an expert on patient-centered care and the importance of medication adherence. From 2020 – 2025, Dr. Bussell was a Regional Medical Director of the Northwestern Medicine Primary Care Executive Council, where she co-chaired both the Wellbeing Committee and the Population Health and Quality Committee. She is also a recipient of the Scholar of Wellness. Dr. Bussell is a compassionate, knowledgeable and skilled physician. She is an excellent listener with an interest in preventive care and lifestyle medicine, and empowers her patients to actively participate in their own health. |
